Microsoft 365 Backup Using Daisy Cloud Backup

💡 Before attempting to back up your data, please ensure you have both of the following:

  • Global Administrator rights for Microsoft 365.

  • Microsoft 365 Acronis seat(s).

Start by logging in to your Acronis account at https://eu-cloud.acronis.com

Expand the Devices options then press All devices.

On the next screen, click Add.

Click Microsoft 365 Business - Backup.

You will be redirected to the Microsoft sign in page, where you will need to enter your Global Administrator username and click Next. Then enter your Global Administrator password and click Sign in, and accept the requested permissions.

Click on Management then Cloud applications backup.

Click on Create plan.

Choose the type of backup you want from the dropdown list.

Click on No devices then select the user you want to backup.

💡 It may take between 10-45 minutes for devices (which represent users) to sync and appear. If the user is not visible click Add.

The following step applies to mailbox backup:

Click on All users then select the user you’d like to backup. Please note that each licence subscribed only covers one user.

The following step applies to SharePoint backup:

Click on All site collections then select the individual site collection channel you would like to backup.

The following step applies to Teams backup:

Click to expand Teams then select All Teams followed by choosing the users you want to backup.

Click done.

Schedule: Backups run once a day by default. If you need multiple backups per day, the advanced pack is required.

How long to keep: This should align with the compliance policy of your business.

Ensure your backups are encrypted by toggling the encryption setting to on.

Create a password then click OK. Leave the encryption algorithm set to AES 256 (quantum-resistant). Then click Apply.
